Frequently asked questions
The questions we are actually asked most often. If yours is not here, email support@pepvoro.co.uk and we will answer it - and probably add it to this page.
What does “research use only” mean?
Every product we sell is supplied for in-vitro laboratory research. That means use in controlled laboratory settings by people qualified to handle research chemicals. Our products are not medicines, supplements, cosmetics or food. They are not for human or veterinary use, and nothing on this site is intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. Purchasing from us requires confirming that you understand and accept this.
Are these products safe for human use?
No. None of these compounds are approved for human or veterinary use, and we do not sell them for that purpose. They have not been evaluated by any medicines regulator for safety or efficacy in humans. If you are looking for a treatment for a health condition, speak to a qualified medical professional - we cannot help you and will not advise on human use.
What is a Certificate of Analysis, and how do I get one?
A Certificate of Analysis (COA) is the laboratory report for a specific manufactured batch. It records the identity and purity of that batch and the methods used to establish them - typically High-Performance Liquid Chromatography for purity and mass spectrometry for identity. Because a COA belongs to a batch rather than to a product line, the one that matters is the one matching the lot number on the vial you received. Request it through our COA page or by emailing support with your lot number.
What purity do you supply?
Our products are specified at 99% or higher purity by HPLC unless the product page states otherwise. Purity is a measurement of a particular batch, not a property of the compound in general, which is why the batch COA is the document that actually answers this question for the vial in your hands.
How should I store the products?
As a general rule, lyophilized (freeze-dried) peptides should be kept at -20°C, protected from light and moisture, and are stable far longer in that state than in solution. Once reconstituted, peptides are considerably less stable and are usually kept refrigerated at 2-8°C and used within a short window. Always follow the storage line on the specific product page and the COA, which take precedence over this general guidance.
What is bacteriostatic water used for?
Bacteriostatic water is sterile water containing a small amount of benzyl alcohol, which inhibits bacterial growth and therefore allows a container to be accessed more than once without the contents spoiling immediately. In a research context it is used to reconstitute lyophilized material. We sell it as a laboratory supply, on the same research-use-only basis as everything else.
Do you offer volume pricing?
Yes. Discounts apply automatically by quantity on a single product: 5% from 3 bottles, 10% from 5, and 15% from 10. If you also choose a subscription, that discount applies on top of the volume discount rather than replacing it - the two compound. The price shown at checkout is always the final calculated figure.
Where do you ship, and how are orders packed?
We list the United States, United Kingdom, European Union, Canada and Australia. Temperature-sensitive items are packed for cold-chain transit. International shipments are subject to the customs and import rules of the destination country, and it is the buyer’s responsibility to know whether a compound may lawfully be imported where they are. Parcels stopped by customs are outside our control.
How quickly are orders despatched?
Orders placed before the daily cutoff shown on the product page are prepared for despatch the same business day. Weekends and public holidays are not business days, so an order placed on a Friday afternoon or a holiday is handled on the next working day. The estimator on each product page accounts for this.
Can I return an order?
Because these are temperature-sensitive laboratory materials whose integrity depends on unbroken storage conditions, returns are handled case by case rather than by a blanket policy. If something arrives damaged, incorrect, or with a temperature indicator showing an excursion, contact support with your order number and photographs and we will put it right. See our Shipping & Returns page for the full position.
How do I contact a real person?
Email support@pepvoro.co.uk with your order number if you have one. We are a small operation, so enquiries reach the people who actually pack and ship the orders rather than an outsourced call centre.
